We too are part of nature and must find a sustainable way to deal with our surroundings. In these mini-games, children learn about the fundamentals of sustainable development. By saving resources such as water and energy or collecting and sorting waste from nature, they learn concrete skills that they can use in everyday life.

Your child will learn various strategies for emotion regulation in order to deal with negative emotions such as anxiety. They will also be introduced to methods that enable them to empathise with others and signal their willingness to help.

Your child learns to categorise and reflect on feelings and thoughts and to express their own emotions in different ways.

Your child will learn the basic emotions of joy, anger, fear, sadness, surprise and disgust. Using this as a basis, they will build up their own emotional vocabulary in order to correctly name their own feelings and those of others.

Your child learns to listen carefully and memorise sounds. Mika encourages them to pick out sounds at the beginning, middle and end of a word and strengthens their understanding of the phonetic structure of words.

When preparing for reading and writing, it is important to differentiate between the content and appearance of words and letters and to look at them separately. Your child is taught to recognise the formation of a letter and to distinguish between them based on their structure.

Your child learns to write letters in the correct directional shapes and to hold the ergonomic pen in a relaxed position. Our ergonomic pen helps with refining fine motor skills.

Mika introduces concepts, which are fundamental for later reading and writing proficiency. Recognising upper and lower case letters and their shapes is encouraged in order to internalise the distinction and connections.

In the first games of an area, everyday vocabulary (e.g. colours, animals or fruit) recapped and practiced in a variety of ways. The words are discovered individually through play and pronounced frequently and clearly so that children are able to start decoding independently.

In the subsequent games, the newly learned words are sorted, rearranged or connected. Especially in this phase, your child has the freedom to make mistakes and puzzle. (Here, too, your child is only confronted with a small number of words in order to be able to remember them particularly well).

Children should begin to count and recognise digits from 0-10, and lots of practice is needed to consolidate this knowledge. In order to make this process as varied as possible, your child gets to know the numbers through different approaches (e.g. through writing, reading and listening) and a through variety of games.

For the development of number concept, it is important that the children have a variety of counting experiences and are challenged to determine numbers in different contexts. This will later build the ability to determine larger quantities without having to count them individually.

In this section, initial arithmetic is practiced in real-life situations, such as baking a cake or paying with coins. A early look into mathematical concepts is also provided, where your child comes into contact with arithmetic signs and number bonds to 10.

This section is a first introduction to basic shapes. Your child interacts playfully with common 2D shapes and learns to recognise them based on relevant properties like number of sides and vertices. They also start to recognise shapes in everyday real-world objects.

Next you will visit the tailor's studio where you can design clothing and costumes. Your child has the freedom to create their own characters by choosing from a variety of playful patterns and fabrics, all while exploring imaginative techniques.
